The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Mah♏a Metro) has announced that French firm Enia Design has won the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract DDC-03, 💞marking a significant advancement in the 43.8km Nagpur Metro Phase 2 project.
According to TOI, DDC-03 is responsible for the design of eight elevated stations on the Orange Line between Jamtha and Butibori. These stations will be built in Ashokvan, Mohgaon, Dongargaon, Meghdoot MIDC, Butibori Police Station, MHADA Colony, MIDC KEC, and MIDC ESR. In addition, the contract duration is three years.Enia Design made a bid of Rs 3.08 crore, which is much less than Maha Metro’s estimate, reports add. As a result, a contract is expected to be negotiated once the Lok Sabha model code of conduct expires.Three of the four DDCs for Metro Phase 2 have been allotted; two of these have been given to Enia Design, a division of Enia Architects in France. Having previously won the design package DDC-02 for 11 stations, this is Enia’s second consecutive successful bid in Nagpur metro phase 2. Meanwhile, LKT Engineering Consultants is in charge of Package DDC-01, one of the other packages.Below are the financial positions of all bidders:
- Enia Design Private Limited: Rs 3.08 crore
- Composites Combine Technocrats Private Limited: Rs 3.50 crore
- STUP Consultants Private Limited: Rs 3.96 crore
- Ayesa India Private Limited: Rs 4.40 crore
- TYPSA India Private Limited: Rs 10.64 crore.
